The 100 Review

*WARNING! SPOILERS BELLOW!*

The 100 is a futuristic show that takes place 97 years after a nuclear apocalypse. At this time, all of humanity lives in a space station called The Ark. When life support starts to run out, 100 child delinquents are sent down to Earth to see if they can live on the world again. When they get down onto the ground, it quickly becomes clear that they are not as alone as they would like to believe.
Season one follows the characters as they fight to survive against the Earth's changes such as acid fog and monstrous animals. The delinquents accidentally start a war against the natives and struggle to make amends.
It also follows the people left behind on The Ark as they fight to survive and make radio connection with the people on the ground. Their air is running out and leadership becomes rocky. People want change, but change comes at a price. Parents sacrifice themselves so that their children may have a chance of surviving.
Through betrayal and death, the people of The Ark break apart their space stations and plummet to the Earth; but only few survive the trip. Meanwhile the delinquents fail at making peace and go to a bloody war against the grounders. In the end though they prevail. But right when they think everything is alright, they are kidnapped.
Season two starts off the same day season one ended. We learn that even more humans have managed to survive in a mountain, hiding away from the radiation outside. Things seem too good to be true and the main character, Clarke, quickly learns the truth. She fights her way out and goes to find her people who have just landed.
Much to everyone's surprise, an alliance is formed with the grounders. They form a plan and go to fight the Mountain Men. But like everything else in the book, the happy ending may not be so happy after all.
This show premiered on March 19th, 2014 on the channel CW. The show was not the most popular at first, but once season one was released on Netflix the popularity skyrocketed. The show was based off the trilogy called The 100 by Kass Morgan. Fans are impatiently waiting for January 21st, the day season 3 will begin.
In my opinion the show is a lot better. It gives more details and the characters are more relatable. We get a bigger look at the characters and what motivates them to survive. The show is eye catching and is filled with plot twists that leaves you craving for more. I enjoy all the action and mystery elements that are incorporated in it. I love all the passion and enthusiasm each character has and it is even a bit inspiring. I enjoy the fact that I have no idea what will come back and that right when you think everything will be alright, everything turns on a different path. I was very impressed with the acting and storyline, I felt like it was a great example of book to tv adaption.
I predict that the show will have four seasons to it, but I hope for many more. It is a great show for teens and adults and I have had many people tell me how much they love it. I hope that this next season is filled with even more action and a lot of plot twists.

Nicky: Back to the Future and Time Travel

Guys, this is it. This is the day that Marty Mcfly comes to the future. On October 21st, 2015 at 4:29 pm.

***

Think about time travel though. Lets say you invent a time machine and then lets say you made a HUGE mistake a few years back. So what do you do? You travel back in time and fix it.

But when you think about it, the mistake is what lead you to travel in time in the first place. Your entire reason for traveling back in time is because of this one mistake, which you have just prevented from ever happening.

So then your past self would have no reason to make a time machine because there is no reason to fix something that never happening. But if you don't go back in time then the mistake was never fixed which creates the same problem all over again, ending in a black hole and the world destroyed maybe.

Are you confused yet? Ok let me try again.

Here is a story about Bob. He is 24 years old and living in his mothers basement. A Year ago he worked at a book store, but one morning he was late to work because his alarm didn't go off, which him being late meant he got fired.

Out of this frustration he stole a time machine so that he could go back in time to wake himself up.  Once he wakes himself up, a chain of events start up though.

He never gets fired, he never lives in his mothers basement, and he never steals a time machine.

But if he doesn't steal a time machine then he never wakes himself up, which means he gets fired. But once he gets fired he steals a time machine and goes to wake himself up which means he never had to steal the machine; but that means he never wakes himself up so he gets fired. This all leads to the same problem over and over and over again, in a never ending cycle

Which means this entire scenario isn't possible, but at the same time it is possible. Something that happened, didn't happen, but happened all over again. Him waking himself up would result in a paradox which could lead to the end of the world or a black hole forming, destroying everything.

Now that may sound extreme, but it's possible.

But what if it was something no one noticed?

Lets say Bob stole a time machine, but it sent him back three million years instead of one. Lets say what while he was in the past, he stepped on a butterfly. This butterfly was going to kill a dinosaur, but instead it killed half of the world. Which leads to a number of events that would lead to a new world and new people.

That would mean you would have different friends, family, neighbors, government leaders, governments themselves, and different lives.

This is called The Butterfly Effect.

The Butterfly Effect:  noun (With reference to chaos theory) the phenomenon whereby a minute localized change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere.

Everything would have changed because of one little thing. Maybe in the original time life your spouse was going to kill you, but instead your marry them. Maybe you were not going to be born. Maybe a lot of different things were going to happen, but this is what we have now. We have a very different world now.

SO that's it for me guys, I hope you have a wonderful day and happy back to the future day!!

Movie Review: Mean Girls

My Thoughts Before I Watch the Movie:

I think this movie may be a bit cheesy from what I have seen. There will be bullying and fluff. Right now I don't really know what to expect from it but hey, lets give it a go right? I bet some of it will be exaggerated and I have no idea if I will relate at all. I think it may have that Pretty Little Liars feel. There may also be a lot of petty fights and boy problems that go over the top. Oh an also non-realistic High School ;)

After Watching the Movie:

So it really wasn't all that bad. Yes, there were a LOT of cheesy moments and yes there was unnecessary guy drama; but overall I liked it. I found the characters kind of realistic (ish?) and the plot was ok. The message overall was good and really important. It talked about bullying and how it can effect others. Bullying really is a real big problem and I'm glad there is a movie that addresses it.

And hello everyone, it's Cherry here! As you can see I have returned alive and in one piece after the long break during the summer. :3 It's funny, you would think that I would post more in the summer since I have more time then, but nope. I guess not. XD
Anywho, that's all I really have for today, so I'll see you all later. :3
