Nicky: Summer Reading Suggestion!

So in my English class we have to do summer reading. One book we have to read is In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. This is a book about a murder and I'll have a review on it later. But another thing we have to do it pick our own book to read. Now I have a long list of books to pick from, but others might not. So if you need a book to read I would recommend the book Gone by Michael Grant. I rate this book 9.5/10 stars.
This book really had me hooked and I literally could not put it down. I was reading it long into the night because I HAD to know what happened to the characters! It is full of lots of plot twists and feels (feelings? ugh its a fangirl term) and I loved it!
So if you want to get into a good series (there are 6 books, woah!) that is full of action, adventure, plot twist, and other cool stuffs that makes a book awesome; then read it! (wow I can really speak right now XD)

^All the books

Nicky: "Who Says We Have To Grow Up?" ~Walt Disney

Really though, who says this? Why do we let go of our creativity and imagination? If you look at little children, you see the wonder in their eyes. They are so happy and excited about life! So what happened?

Growing up happened, thats what. As we grow older we let go of that innocence we were born with and slowly (or quickly) grow up. That is, unless you hold on tight to the innocence and imagination. The power of imagination is so great and wonderful! It has the power to do great things!

I look up to Walt Disney because he managed to hold onto his creativity. He is one of the most creative people (in my opinion) that has lived. I hope that one day I can somehow be like him. I don't know, am I crazy to want that? Probably XD

But who are we without hope? *shrugs* Mindless drones that walk about the Earth? (oh wow that would be (and is) a cool story plot!)

Now this post doesn't really have a good end point, I'm just going to leave it open ended. Just think about it, thats all I ask :)

Owl: It's Back, and Death

Hey there, night babies,
It's me, the Owl of your dreams.
Wow, my introduction was much creepier than usual to make up for missing the past two weeks. Sorry about that, guys, I've been having difficulty surviving, 'cause life.
This leads me to my topic for today, which is how people always joke that they're dying when they're stressed out.
Or maybe that's just me.
Either way, it's an interesting thing. Why is it that something that terrifies people so much has been reduced to a joke? I mean, I'm guilty of it, it just is an interesting thing to consider in terms of Western culture. Like do we feel that we need to make death seem less powerful and therefore laugh in the face of death, then become afraid the minute it's a real threat?
I don't know.
If you're curious, I'm having difficulties because mental health issues, 5 majors projects for school to work on, at least one performance or tech rehearsal each day, deadlines approaching, figuring out what I'll do this summer, and GRAH.

So yeah, that's why ^ ^;

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY: In 1882, the United States passed the Chinese Exclusion Act, which forbade immigration of Chinese laborers due to the vast amount of Chinese immigrants on the West coast, even though all of the European immigrants were like 10 TIMES THE AMOUNT. Just sayin'...

Would You Rather: Take a European sight-seeing tour or a relaxing Caribbean vacation?

I think the European sight-seeing tour. I mean, it forces me to stay active, as well as showing me a lot of cool things about history that I never knew. But on the other hand, I've never been to the Caribbean, unlike Europe, and I'd be really curious to see the ideal paradise.

What about y'all?

Take care while flying into the night, my night children,

Mama Owl

Nicky: It's inconsiderate...

Sorry for being MIA yesterday, life....
So today I am going to rant about something that has been going on for YEARS! Its called poking. Not bad, right? In moderation its fine, even funny. But every day by different people that you don't even know that well.... Lets just day i'm fed up with it...
I am a skinny child, yes. But that doesn't automatically give people a right to poke me. It's just really weird... I always feel violated and it hurts! Then when I say stop, they don't...
I know this is a short rant, but the point is when someone says stop, you stop. And that there is a thing called personal space.

And with that I leave you with a minion, enjoy!

Cherry: How to Fangirl

Hey everyone, it's Cherry here. :3
So, I thought that today I would just talk about how I "fangirl".    ....Don't ask me why. XD

Unlike most other people who fangirl over people, tv shows, and books, I fangirl over games and game characters....yeah. I'm a nerd. XD (I also do so with some movies *cough* Studio Ghibli *cough*, and I guess I actually do sometimes fangirl over books... but not really. I mean I'll tell all my friends about it, but I won't go super crazy over it...I don't know.)

Anyways, when I do find a game that I really love, I really just do these two things:

1.) Obsess over it in my head for a while.
2.) Go on a "searching for fanart" spree. (Depending on how obsessed I am with the game, I'll look at fanart for quite a long time. XD)

...Yep. I just thought that it was sort of weird that my "fangirling" is looking at pictures for anywhere from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours. (...............It's bad. XD) I remember once I spent two hours just looking at shipping pictures of Hiro and Lillian from Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns (look at my Harvest Moon Fanart post if you don't know what I'm talking about). ...It wasn't great. I mean, I had a lot of fun, but I wasted a ton of precious time then. XD Oh well.

So, what do you guys do when your fangirl? (Or if you're a boy, when you ...fanboy?...Wait...what?)
I'm sure that it's much more normal than what I do.  I mean, I don't even talk to many - if any, people about it. I just waste a bunch of time looking at pictures. XD
Well, anyways, tell me in the comments. :3 I'm actually very interested in hearing what other people do in these situations.

That's all for now!
